Performance Logs - Add a Log

All Performance Logs are characterized by three elements: the tasks, standards, and measurements (TSMs). TSMs are the foundation of the entire Tenzinga system and are developed by employee and leader representatives. They are designed to communicate consistent, objective feedback on a regular basis through performance logs. Performance logs are entered by leaders for employees under their supervision as a means of empowering them and providing valuable feedback to enhance performance.

These logs will serve as the detailed review of any given time period for the employee’s Annual Report or any additional periodic reporting as needed, like a Custom Report.

Leaders will spend the majority of the time entering performance logs for the employees. There are two ways in the system to create a log - by clicking on the + Add Log or the Add Log buttons. Note: There are many views that include the + Add Log button. You can tell what page you are on based on what tab is highlighted on your screen.

Once you have accessed the dashboard for the employee under your supervision, select
the + Add Log button to begin a log entry. In the example below, this is the Expectations tab (7.1).
When you click on the Performance Power, you will be taken to the Performance Power view of the View Logs tab/page (7.2). The Task List for that position will appear (7.3). You can tell you are on the View Logs page because there is a Log Date in the left-hand corner of the screen under the picture and above the Task List (7.4).

These tasks are configured for each position in your organization and are not unique to individuals. As a leader you can enter logs for all tasks or just selected tasks. Logs may be entered as often as you want in order to document and provide feedback about an employee's performance. Tasks set for auto scoring by your company will register a monthly score of “Standard” for any tasks you have not manually scored.

This will send a “Log Submitted” alert to the Employee’s dashboard and an email will be sent (if notifications are turned on for the employee ) stating a log has been submitted. The log will also be calculated in the Employee’s current score at that time. Employees can respond to a Performance Log submitted by a leader (see section 8 under “For Employees”).

NOTE: The “Cancel” button (7.11) will close the Standards and Measurements window and no log will be entered for the Task.
