  • Don’t use words like “ I think or I feel”
  • You always want to match your comments to the exopectation. If you can’t, you have chosen the wrong one.
  • Be specific
  • At the end of your objective feedback, we encourage you to add Leader Notes. In a 2017 study by the Center for Creative Leadership, data shows that effective employees were twice as likely to have received daily or weekly feedback then those rated ineffective.  Alone, objective feedback is good but when you add leader comments (those atta boys and thank yous), it DOUBLES the rate of improvement.
In that same study, researchers looked at how much negative/constructive feedback employees wanted.  The answer may be surprise -- 50% MORE when it was about improving the process and not outcome feedback.  How can I do better next time. The first thing to remember is communication is key.  Always meet with your employee before sending them a negative log.

TrackIT is NOT a disciplinary tool, the goal is to get you talking.

Then tell them what behavior needs to change and be specific with your example and how they can improve.
•Why are they a good worker?
•How do they do a good job?
•When and what was a specific time, I observed, or it was told to me they did a good job?
